SPAAT Introduces…Hustle High!
Welcome to Hustle High! On behalf of the leaders of SPAAT, we introduce a rigorous student performance system that says “no” to academic decay and introduces student-athletes athletes to the world of college readiness. For our organization, being ready for college is more than passing grades, paperwork and deadlines. College readiness is about mental maturity, time management, preparation and getting one's self ready for opportunity.
For student-athletes, their opportunity is sports and we aim to help students capitalize on their talent. With the creation of Hustle High, we aim to demonstrate our ability and willingness to organize student data and set specific goals for each student. Students will understand the importance of creating a college-ready mind and begin to identify colleges/universities or career plans, based on individual needs.
Hustle High curriculum was created to help student performance and improve the communication between students and reality. Oftentimes, we are presented with students who lack commitment to academia but show excellence in the field of play. SPAAT believes these students just haven’t found the “fun in learning.” Most think learning is exemplified by tests and awards and miss the opportunity to reward small gains. For our organization, we will highlight the small gains and take students outside their environments to embark on a journey of continued growth and passion for staying ready!
Hustle High will not exist without your help, your participation, your attitude and your commitment! We believe communication will be the secret to success. Our commitment to this process is to set up ‘teacher visits’ that will be useful and productive. Together, we can communicate on student whereabouts, field trips, upcoming projects, homework and overall attitude. Additionally, through continual teacher visits, we get to build positive working relationships that enforce learning attitudes!
Below are the requirements, seminars, services and projects, we require all student-athletes of SPAAT to participate in and complete.
